We traveled throughout Belize for our honeymoon from April 9 - 20th, starting in Placencia, then moved up to San Ignacio, then back to Belize City. Since we rented a car, there were lots of stops in between such as a bitters distillery, the Marie Sharp's Hot Sauce farm and factory, the Belize Zoo, and the Blue Hole National Park. We took four day trips: snorkling on Laughing Bird Caye, Monkey River and jungle tour with the "King of the Howlers," spelunking in the Actun Tunichil Makmunn (ATM) cave, and a tour of ancient Mayan ruins at Caracol followed by a nice dip in a waterfall and swimming hole. It was perfect!
